Al Nadeeb

Al Nadeeb is an online import and export customs system developed by iCT Qatar and malomatia for the Qatar Customs Authority to handle the clearing, inspection and associated charges for all items imported into and exported out of the State of Qatar.  The system, one of Qatar’s flagship trade projects, operates via an online portal www.ecustoms.gov.qa and is revolutionising trade between Qatar and its global partners.

Challenge

Qanect, in partnership with malomatia, were contracted to develop a 5 year communications strategy and plan (internal & external) for the launch of the new Qatar Customs “Al Nadeeb” single window clearance system.

Target Audience

– The complex marcomms campaign was developed to target a number of internal audience groups, including customs officers, inspectors and customs clearing agents.
– In addition, a full scale mass market effort has been put in place (to be implemented in 2016) to build awareness for the brand within Doha, with a specific focus on the trade community.

Implementation

  • Developed the overarching marketing and communications strategy and plan including key objectives, target audiences, messaging structure, channel recommendations and anticipated outcomes/ KPIs.
  • Developed the 5 year marketing and strategy budget, RFP, vendor shortlisting and tender criteria.
  • Currently working as the on-going marketing and communications consultant on the project, supervising and managing all third parties involved in executing the 5 year plan.

Results

  • The Al Nadeeb project is still live with an embedded senior marketing manager from Qanect delivering on the roll out of a full five year marketing communications campaign in partnership with a number of local and regional companies.
