Role summary?

The Marketing Director will work with Account Managers, the Social Media Director and the PR Director to develop marketing strategy and the execution of strategy across a portfolio of clients.

Location:

  • Office based but with regular meetings in and around the greater Doha area.

Responsible for:

  • The day to day management of the Marketing/Account Management Team for a multitude of clients across numerous sectors.

Skills Required:

  • A high level of agency experience, creativity, clear and strong
    communication and computer skills are required.
  • Requires strong analytical skills, organization and people-skills
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • Confidence and a persuasive manner
  • Tight organizational and time management skills
  • Great business sense and the ability to work to budgets
  • The ability to work on multiple projects at one time
  • The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • The ability to work in a small office environment
  • The ability to take on a high work load
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong IT skills (Power Point & Excel)
  • Good knowledge of marketing techniques
  • Self-motivation, the ability to be a team player

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree / Honours/ Masters in Marketing Communication.
  • 5-7 years of marketing /account management experience.
  • Middle Eastern experience is an advantage.
  • Spoken Arabic is an advantage.
  • Must have a drivers licence and personal transportation.

Key responsibilities and main
tasks and activities :

Business Leadership

  • Develop relationships with executive level clients and drive growth of business through oversight of the day to day work, as well as involved in developing thought leadership that extends beyond daily deliverables to demonstrate overarching value to client’s business needs.
  • Have clear revenue goals and management responsibilities on the portfolio.
  • Sell strategist services across all of Qanect’s offerings from communications to marketing solutions.

Owner of the Strategic Planning Process

  • Serve as the strategic connector of Qanect’s daily work with ultimate responsibility for the quality and output.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and creative minds in a multi-discipline team structure to deliver quality work.
  • Lead as a connected player, inspiration leader and mentor.
  • Lead with logic and critical thinking, intuition, intense curiosity, and an eclectic consumption of information.
  • Strategy Focused – leading a portfolio of clients and creating compelling communication strategies that drive measurable results
  • Oversee / development of all marketing & communication plans for clients
  • Oversee final execution of all PR & Communication plans and activities
  • Business development
  • Develop Key Target Sectors – Education, Health, Hospitality, Consumer Goods, Government
  • Building capacity – learning & development of internal teams
  • Develop / Implement new policies and processes for Qanect – Internal and External
  • Position Qanect as leading Marketing Communications Agency in Qatar

Contractual Status:

  • Full time, Sunday to Thursday, 8:30am to 5:30pm

Salary:

  • Base Salary + Benefits + Incentives
